Step 3: Allow the wax to sit and cool for four to six hours and then try removing it from the mold. To assist in removing the wax from the mold try freezing for half an hour. That should do the trick. Non-stick oil that comes in a spray can may also be used.. Spray the entire mold before pouring wax in. This is also an effective way to remove the molded wax.
You can create your own molds with liquid latex. Latex molds are typically way too flexible for standing on their own when pouring the wax into them. Cut out a hole in a sturdy piece of cardboard large enough for the mold to pass through. On the bottom of your latex mold, there should be a lip. Pour wax into the mold as the cardboard acts as a support.
